Alicia

Alicia Broussard, Ph.D., HCLD

IVF Laboratory Director

Over her tenure as a full-time embryologist at Midwest Fertility Specialists and The Center for Reproductive Biology, Dr. Broussard has spearheaded clinical research, publishing numerous peer-reviewed studies in industry journals and presented results at industry conferences including ASRM and ESHRE

Driven by her desire to advance IVF, Alicia remains an instructor at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she earned her Ph.D. in Reproductive Clinical Sciences and where she mentors the next generation of embryologists.

Since 2006, she has also served as a Technical Supervisor in Embryology and Andrology certified by the American Board of Bioanalysts. She was a member-at-large of the Society for Reproductive Biologists and Technologists, as well as a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for the Study of Reproduction, and Society for Male Reproduction and Urology.

Mevlude

Mevlude Arifova

IVF Laboratory Supervisor

Mevlude or “Mev” completed her undergraduate program at SUNY New Paltz in Molecular and Cellular Biology and received her master’s in Clinical Embryology at Leeds University in the UK.

With nearly 15 years in the field, Mev has helped many hopeful patents become parents. Her career in embryology began at RMA of New York and after a few years moved to Los Angeles where she worked at Southern California Reproductive Center under the guidance of Dr. Mark Surrey. A New York native, hailing from The Bronx, Mev understands how advances in science have helped patients increase their chance of success.
